What is the difference between an original painting and a custom painting?
Originals are paintings that Jenna has already created. They are, for lack of a better explanation, “what you see is what you get”. You are looking at a finished piece of art with black finished edges.
All paintings that are part of a series are original paintings. Originals are of things that inspired Jenna for one reason or another! Some originals are created from photos she took herself; others are created from photos that people have submitted. All large originals will also have limited edition prints that are available for sale.
Custom paintings are paintings that a customer has hired Jenna to create. A customer comes to her with a specific photo, collection of photos, or idea that they want recreated. She then works with the customer to come up with an idea that they are 100% happy with and creates a painting that is for this customer only.
No prints are sold by Jenna. This painting is for one customer and not for the public. Each customer has different needs, so there is some wiggle room with custom paintings. In general, they are finished with black edges and come ready to hang, but they can also be framed.
Jenna focuses on original paintings, but does do custom paintings on occasion.
